How ClientBridge sources and scores contractor leads
Every lead in our system has a paper trail. Here's exactly where the data comes from, how the match score is calculated, and what we guarantee if something is wrong.
Where the data comes from
Every lead originates from a public government registry or licensed enrichment source. No scraped social media. No purchased junk lists. We pull from official licensing boards, contractor registries, and federal fleet databases — then verify contact info before scoring.
Active contractor license records for electricians, HVAC technicians, and plumbers operating in Texas. We pull new issuances and renewals weekly.
Commercial fleet registration data for contractors operating trucks and heavy equipment — strong proxy for firms with payroll and operational scale.
New entity formations in NAICS code 238 (specialty trade contractors). Captures recently incorporated businesses before they appear in other registries.
We verify and enrich business email addresses using Hunter.io after pulling from government sources. No unverified email addresses reach your leads queue.
How leads are scored
Each lead is scored on four dimensions against your firm's ideal client profile (ICP). The score runs 0–100. Above 70 is a strong match; above 85 is exceptional. Here's what moves the needle.
Small owner-operated shops are our core target. Micro-firms need real tax strategy but rarely have a dedicated CFO. Full score if headcount is 1–10; partial if 11–25; zero above 25.
Revenue in the sweet spot means the contractor has real tax complexity — entity structure choices, retirement contributions, estimated taxes — but isn't yet served by Big 4. Partial credit for $100K–$250K or $5M–$10M ranges.
We match the lead's NAICS trade category against the industries you marked as your ideal client profile during onboarding. Exact match = full score. Related trade = partial. Unrelated industry = zero.
Tax and license requirements vary by state. We check the lead's operating state against the states you selected in your profile. Same state = full score. Adjacent metro = partial. Different region = zero.
What a score of 82 means
3 of 4 dimensions are a strong match against your ICP. In this example, the lead is an electrical contractor in Texas with 4 employees and $600K estimated revenue — matching trade, state, and size. Revenue bands at the high end of the target range, giving a slight partial on that dimension.
Freshness SLA
Stale data is worse than no data — you waste outreach budget on contractors who have already filed their taxes or moved on. Here's how we keep the leads current.
Weekly registry refresh
We re-pull from each source registry (TX TDLR, AZ ROC, FL DBPR, NV NSCB, FMCSA) on a weekly cadence. New licenses issued or renewed since the last run are ingested automatically into the lead queue.
90-day freshness flag
Leads where the license issuance date or entity formation date is within 90 days of today are flagged as fresh in your queue. Fresh signals indicate a contractor who recently made a business-formation or compliance decision — prime timing for a tax conversation.
Signal date always displayed
Every lead card shows the source signal date — the date the license was issued or the entity was formed. No hidden staleness. You always know how old the trigger event is before you spend a credit.
Refund & replacement policy
14-day free replacement. No questions asked.
Any lead with invalid contact info or the wrong trade category is replaced free of charge within 14 days of delivery. We don't charge restocking fees, require documentation, or make you argue your case. You bought a qualified lead — if it doesn't qualify, we swap it.
To request a replacement, email support@clientbridge.services with the lead ID and the reason. We'll issue a replacement credit to your account within one business day.
What this policy does not cover: leads that don't respond to outreach, leads who already have an accountant, or leads that decide not to hire you. We qualify and verify — we don't guarantee conversion.
How to report closed clients
If you toggle the success-fee rate at checkout, you pay 30% less per lead. In exchange, when you sign a client from a ClientBridge lead, you self-report it within 12 months — and we invoice you for 10% of their first-year revenue.
Submit at /report-closed-client — no login required, 2 minutes. Include the lead ID (from your dashboard), close date, engagement type, and annual contract value.
ClientBridge calculates the 10% commission ($0.10 per $1.00 of annual value) and sends you a Stripe invoice within 30 days. No automation required — just an email and a payment link.
